Team Information:

All coaches are required to have an FBI/BCI check and a police check.

Parent/Player Information:

Tryout Policies:

• Players must wear athletic attire to tryouts, have waiver form completely filled out, and have copy of birth certificate
• Players will be selected during and at the end of tryouts.  When you and your daughter are notified, we will need a commitment from you and your daughter. We also expect payment at the end of tryouts.  We are a nonprofit organization and we need your money to operate.  If you cannot pay at that time, we will work out a payment plan for you.
• Do not bring your own basketballs to tryouts.  We are not responsible for lost basketballs.
• Please bring a water bottle/sport drink for your child
• $5 for one tryout date

Cost:

• $350.00 checks made out to Cincinnati Firestorm-$35 fee for all returned checks
• 5 Tournaments and or 3 tournaments/League
• At least 2 practices per week
• Equipment
• Clerical Expenses
• Jerseys
• Priority when special camps come via Cincinnati Firestorm-i.e. Point Guard College

Attendance:

• We are a competitive organization so we expect your daughter to be able to attend practices, games, tournaments, and other functions according with the team.  We also realize that sicknesses and other things will come up from time to time and we understand that.
• Communication is vital between you and your coach. Please let your Coach know asap if you cannot attend a practice, tournament, or any other function associated with the team
• Playing two sports during the spring is a big commitment for a kid. We do not recommend doing this.  We need to be notified before tryouts if your daughters plan on doing this.  There usually is a lot of conflict between the two and is unfair to the team. However, a coach may still select you and you would still be required to attend everything listed above

Parent Volunteers:

• A parent volunteer is needed for each team.  Each parent will coordinate activities with their coach; such as hotel room stays, team meals, and other team functions

Uniforms:

• A deposit is required for the jerseys
• Firestorm jerseys and shorts must be returned at the end of your season.  A date will be given for each team when your jersey must be returned by. If not returned by such date your deposit check will be cashed. Our uniforms are valuable to us and must be returned at the said date.   If returned by said date your deposit will be returned to you. This is a protection policy for us.  This money shall not and will not go towards us an any shape or form as long as it’s returned at said date.

Winter Team Information:

Attendance

1. We expect your son/daughter to be able to attend practices, games, tournaments, and other functions according with the team.  We also realize that sicknesses and other things will come up from time to time and we understand that.

3. Each team will meet prior to the beginning of your season.  Each meeting is mandatory.  If you cannot attend you need to make time to meet with your coach.  If you have not attended the meeting or met with the coach, your child will not receive a jersey and will not be able to participate in practices or games until you have met with the coach.

Uniforms

1. Uniforms will be handed out by each coach. For the girls, each player will select an appropriate size and will have that jersey for the rest of the winter season.  Each player will need a change of clothes as each jersey will be returned after each game.  The coach is responsible for washing each jersey and handing them before games.  For the boys, their jersey information will be handed out during the pre-season meeting.
